I am, as of this past May, a high school graduate. I was co-president of the National Honors Society and a member of the Spanish National Honor Society at Rochester High School. I graduated third in my class, and I received awards for Physics, Vocal Music, Leadership, and Drama. I received A's in all of the subjects that I am willing to teach and I am comfortable in my knowledge of them. This fall, I will be attending Illinois State University as a Physics and Engineering major.
I have never officially taught, but I have been told by my peers that they believe I would have some skill at it. My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I received an A when I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school. However, I did not take the exam, and so retook Calculus I in college, again receiving an A.

I am a natural teacher - it's what I do when I'm not getting paid. I just like to share knowledge of what, why, when, where, and how. I like the process of learning, and it is a privilege to get to witness, or even positively influence, that process in someone else. I have been paid for my teaching skills for the past 9 years, in various settings, including piano instruction, guitar instruction, tutoring at the Community College in Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology, as well as assist teaching for the Decatur Public School District.
