My comments on tutoring Spelling : Basic skills can be taught if one approach is not working there are others that can be utilized. Students can become successful spellers .We should get started

I work best in one on one or small groups. I am capable with larger groups as well. My favorite approach is the Charlotte Mason approach. I have worked with a wide variety of Educational Philosophies/Methods and will draw from them when needed.

My comments on tutoring Spelling : My education always emphasized the importance of good spelling. A proper background in this skills, helps to improve your presentations, your resume when you are looking for a job, improve the first impression you make in any interaction requiring written skills.

My teaching style needs to respond to the needs of the individual. There are several styles of learning so I need to understand the individual to best know how to teach them the skills they need to pass the course.
I have worked in several different types of industries from hotels, restaurants, travel, mortgage companies, transportation, banks, theater, real estate and other primarily service businesses. Most of my interests lie in the financial and accounting parts of these businesses because of the importance of not only being able to present an accurate picture of the company's condition at only one time, but also to make sure that there were no mistakes, thefts being covered up, or other discrepancies. Very large companies have had loans go bad due to the improper accounting of transactions by the business owners.
