A Little Bit About Me...

Any tutors goal is to guide a child to a learning experience within that childs comfort zone. An educator, with a calm and patient demeanor can lead a child to their goal. Laughter and discovery are the heart of educating any student. My goal is to lead a student to his or her potential.
As a special education teaching assistant I have tutored every level of education with the exception of adults. I am Cpr and first aid certified, as well as CPI certified. I tutored in ELL for two years in all basic educatiion subjects. I am currently employed by Marana High School/Special Educaation. I haave tutored math, english, science, social studies, and computer educaation.

I have been both a teacher, substitute for elementary and full-time for middle school, along with having a career in the accounting and bookkeeping venues. I enjoy people and thrive on their successes. One of my lifetime desires is to not only following thru on the beginning steps, debits and credits, but to help people start a pretend company. My expertise is also with working with diverse groups of people. I have taught juvenile delinquents, and up to 60 different ethnic groups. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended college at three different schools, on athletic scholarship in two of them. I earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Philosophy and BA in Political Science. After graduating I spent one semester teaching sciences at an outdoor based alternative middle and elementary school just outside of Austin, TX. In college and afterwards I have continued to be involved in issues regarding immigration and minorities. I spent one year living and working in the Central Andes in Peru. Part of that job was teaching English to adults and children in their communities. This has given me a high level of fluency in Spanish and an ability to work in crosscultural situations.
