Patient and motivated I have been teaching high school math in the San Antonio Texas Charter system. I was hired as a highly qualified teacher and l recently retired in 2012. I believe all students are capable of learning the materials but unfortunately some students need more time or direction. In my fifteen years as a teacher l never felt like l couldn't help any student learn. Experienced It is based on how the student learns. I like to explain the subject and then give and help workout examples. I learn by this method and have learned most other students do also, however some students need objects or physical representation, especially in lower level mathematics and I can accommodate every method of learning. While attending California State University of San Bernardino and working on my bachelors degree in mathematics I had many opportunities to gain experience.
