With a MSEd in special education, I have had extensive coursework in the acquisition of language skills. General coursework includes teaching basic math, language and remedial or modified content areas, such as science and social studies. I have state certification in special education, grades K-12. I have had 8 years as a full-time teacher in a resource room and self-contained classroom. I have worked as a substitute teacher for 5 years, and as a caregiver for 4 years working with one autistic student in the home. Experience: covers a broad range of Student's ages. From 1st Grade up to 12th Grade. My main theme are Maths but also I do very well in Physics. I completed Engineering Studies in Peru so that's the background I can show in Maths and Science. I use to taught in the past in Peru Maths for 3rd, 4th and 5th Secondary Grades (equivalent to 10th, 11th and 12th Grades of High School). In addition I'm father of four kids. I worked for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for 14 years as an Endangered Species Research Scientist. A Little Bit About Me...

I chose to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, so I could study many different fields, rather than focus on only one. I was thrilled with reading and literature courses; history; fine arts; sociology and humanities. I have always had a love of reading and I was happy to share the joy of reading when I volunteered my time to help struggling and early readers in elementary school. In addition, I have developed and taught art classes for adults; as well as Sunday School classes for children.
I believe everyone learns best when the subject matter is interesting and engaging to that student. I have always tried to adapt my curriculum to the interests of my students.
