A Little Bit About Me...

I have many experiences and a varied background. I have two Masters in English and Secondary Education. My bachelor degrees are in English and Spanish. While a high school student, I was an exchange student in Mexico. I also spent five years in Japan teaching English in a public school and at a language school. Before that I taught writing courses to college students. I have lots of experience teaching writing, grammar, and literature. I am able to teach any level.
I love learning and teaching. I understand that all students learn differently, and I take that into account while helping each individual student,so that I am best able to help each student meet his/her potential. I know that each student can reach his/her goals if he/she is motivated and feels confident in his/her ability. More About This Tutor...

I started college with the intention of becoming an elementary school teacher. I completed all coursework at Chadron State College Chadron, NE with the exception of my professional semester. I graduated college in the summer of 1985 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Guidance/Counseling and the other in Recreation. I worked as a certified teacher in the state of Florida in an alternative school for emotionally disturbed/behavior disordered boys. I have 4 children and I have home schooled all of them to varying degrees. Currently I am home schooling my youngest two children and they are in the 11th grade. I enjoy teaching all subjects but am partial to mathematics, history and grammar.
