My love of kids lead me to get a Masters in Elementary Education. I taught third grade for three years and fourth grade one year in private Christian schools. I enjoyed being able to carry on the great Christian heritage of our country and our faith as Christians to the next generation. I tutored several students who were learning English as a second language. In the 2014/2015 school year I worked at a Montessori School. I was able to study montessori methods which help to develop the student's independence, confidence, curiosity, and concentration. I excel at teaching intensive phonics and addition/subtraction/multiplication/division facts. I have been a classroom teacher for 30 years. I am currently working as a 2nd grade teacher and am in the TERI program. I tutor after school individual children mostly who struggle with reading skills. I worked the last 5 years at a school for interventions.
