Math is learned by doing, but in attempting to do something you haven't really learned yet you're probably going to get stuck. A math tutor's job is to get you unstuck (or in some cases get you started). Sometimes that's just pointing out mistakes, and sometimes there's a weak spot in your background that needs cleared up before you can go any further. It's not easy, but I think anyone can learn math, even advanced math, but you have to start with a solid foundation. My teaching approach for other subjects is somewhat different, but still mostly consists of alternating between explaining/demonstrating and assisted practice. I have earned two bachelor degrees from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Computer Science. I was born in Lyon, France in 1983. French is my native language, I speak and read and write fluently French, Arabic and English. I'm Dentist, and I love foreign languages.. I did 3 years of Dentistry school in Lyon France between 2006 and 2009... Since October 2010 I tutor French Language to a 38 years old american surgeon, he prepares himself for a 2 years internship in Quebec, Canada... I'm a French native speaker, I was born in France, and I love the French Language.. I believe all children can learn, and I believe that few good educators made a world of difference in the childhood's education..

I enjoy working with students, especially in small-group or individual settings. I always try to tailor my teaching style to the needs of my students, to make their learning experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. I'm very patient and considerate. I try to encourage my students to work hard in order to achive their heighest potential. I've had more than 15 years of experince in teaching college-level Math courses ranging from Intermediate Algebra to Differential Equations and Real Analysis. After college graduation in 2006, I subsitute taught for a year in Pennsylvania for a year before moving to Maryland to persue a permanent teaching career. I taught technology education in grades 6-8 before moving to West Virginia to start a family. My degree is in the field of technology education, but I also hold an additional certification in middle school math. I feel confident in my abilities to tutor math of all ages, as well as physics classes. I believe every child learns differently, and that the presentation of information must vary on a constant basis. In order to keep attention of learners, new techniques and methods must be constatnly implemented to actively teach students. I feel that students learn best when they trust their instructor, and feel secure in there environment.
