As a special education teacher, I am highly motivated to see all students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom setting. My teaching style depends entirely on the student. With patients and flexibility, a teacher can provide a student with the desire to learn on their own. With guidance, that student can remain motivated and willing to seek his or her own answers. It is important to me to impart that desire, because it aids the student in all further endeavors. The first thing I do with any new student is identify his or her learning style so that I may incorporate those specific strategies into my lesson for an effective and personalized learning experience. My lessons are very interactive, and a main aspect is to nurture critical thinking. After setting up a situation, I will pose problems for the student to solve.
