I don't have a "one size fits all" approach to teaching; rather, I try to tailor my approach to the learning style of the student. I believe that each and every student has the potential to learn whatever subject matter is being investigated. My math teaching style relies heavily on problem solving and repetition. I am currently in my final semester at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in the Secondary English Education program. I am a full-time student teacher at Milwaukee High School of the Arts in the Milwaukee Public School system; I teach English 9 and British Authors (10th grade English). I was a part-time student teacher last fall at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts, and taught 7th grade English. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy hands-on teaching and one-on-one interaction with students. Good writing can simplify the thought process, and leads to students becoming better thinkers and communicators. I am easy-going and patient, but I take language and writing very seriously. There is no excuse for poor or careless writing, and I believe that an easily-taught, simple approach, can unlock the potential of any writer.
I achieved an English degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where my senior thesis was selected as a finalist for the UW Creative Writing prize. I am passionate about the English language, but I think that writing is becoming a lost art. Quality writers are quality communicators.
