I have spent the last three year being a nanny and tutor for kids in a variety of age groups. I work with all different types of learners such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and read write when it comes to students. I make sure that the children and adults will understand the course material and subject matter they are working on of their own academics.

My comments on tutoring Writing : I have been writing consistently for the last 12 years, in several genres. I mainly write poetry and stories, although I can write research/opinion papers for my college classes.

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University online. I have been writing for almost twenty years, although I have been writing poetry since I was in high school. I have been published in a book of poetry (although it wasn't widely distributed), and I love to teach people about Shakespeare because of how much I enjoy learning about the time period and writing styles of the period.

My comments on tutoring Writing : I have taught this subject at both primary and secondary levels in my school district.

Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.
I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the past 8 years. I am currently attending school to become a special education teacher. Experienced Educator Available To Tutor

I taught high school English for three years. My students ranged from far below basic to advanced. My students consistently showed improvement in their standardized test scores and over 95% of my students passed the course. Also, Over 95% of my sophomore passed the CAHSEE. Writing is one of my top subjects! I was a professional grant writer for 8 years on a part time basis. Also, I have tutored AP English. I have excellent references.

For five years, I have tutored through the No Child Left Behind program and privately. I have tutored all subjects except science. I have tutored K-12 up to calculus. My professional background before tutoring was in banking, insurance claims, and healthcare administration. I love tutoring one on one and in small groups. I never wanted to be a teacher in a classroom. I think the joy of tutoring is watching students "get it."
