Jeffrey M - Hope Mills, NC 28348 (25.4 mi) - C++ Tutor - $35.00/hr.
I enjoy teaching and helping other students understand difficult material. I love to use diagrams and other visual teaching tools. Often I relate biology to everyday life situations to help students understand better. Every student learns differently, but the material can be understood by every student. As a graduate student, I have successfully tutored a number of undergraduate students. I received my BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Currently, I have 15 graduate semester hours including Advanced biochemistry, parasitology, Advanced botany, and Plant development. In addition, I have extensively learned proper laboratory research paper formatting. I have tutored Anatomy/Physiology, general chemistry, and pharmacology.
Also Tutors: Microsoft Office, Graphic Design, Microsoft Excel, Desktop Publishing, Microsoft Access

Brent K - Wilmington, NC 28401 (40.6 mi) - C++ Tutor - $50.00/hr.
During my time at NC State, I worked at the mathematics laboratory for two years. In that short amount of time, I learned as much as I taught. The experience of communicating technical information in a way that is accessible requires a set of skills that, in my humble opinion, will always be in demand. In mathematics, I was taught early on that in order to prove something you need three things:
1. facts that are obvious/self-evident
2. relate them in a logical way
3. frame these facts and their relationships inside of a theory
Engineering is just applied mathematics. I believe that anyone can do it, at their level; the key for an educator is to have sufficient people skills to diagnose the problem areas a given student might have and then address those in the context of solving a given problem.
Also Tutors: ASP.NET, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel
