During my years at the University of New Haven, I earned a BS in Biology and a MS in secondary education. During my undergraduate work, I worked with other biology students to form a laboratory class for students from a private school which had no laboratory facilities. I possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. The first is writing extensive research papers and laboratory reports, and the second is due to extensive public speaking course work. I have worked for Norfolk City Public Schools and Virginia Beach City Public Schools as a substitute teacher for approximately six years. During that period I performed a multitude of jobs including long term substitute positions, teaching high school physics, and performed tasks far beyond the parameters of substitute job specifications.
