I am a recent graduate of UVa-Wise in Accounting with a minor in Economics. During my last year, I frequently tutored underclassman with a high degree of success. My achievements were not only successful at my school, but I have competed at the national level by consistently placing at state with the FBLA-PBL for my major and minor.
My approach is visual, auditory, and hands-on. I am very patient, and understanding. My primary area of tutoring is math, and I understand that math is a very time oriented subject. The key is to listen to the child, find out what areas of interest they have and build on that. I have never encountered a child who did not want to read about their area of interests.
