He said "teach those who learn, inspire those who will be inspired and love all the rest since you never know what will cause someone to want to learn or to be inspired". I have applied this to teaching, coaching anc consulting. in that I appraoch every situation as a teaching opportunity. In teaching I generally view problems 3 dimensionally and when explaining try to have several approaches as no one approach will fit all. I pose questions and assist with the solving of the question and ask for explanation of why the answer given was chosen. I have earned both a BS and Ph.D. in Chemistry. I have experience in all areas of chemistry from my extensive research background at several institutions. After completing my doctorate, I spent 4 years at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) as a postdoctoral fellow. During my tenure at NIST I spent 2 years devoted to mentoring middle school girls, served as judge at several scientific conferences and career advisor to undergraduates at my Alma mater. I have been a tutor since I was an undergraduate. I tutored Chemistry, Math, Biology and Physics. As a graduate student, I held the position of teaching assistant in General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and medicinal Chemistry for a total of 4 years.

Teaching is my passion. I strongly believe that every moment is a teaching moment, whether or not it is intended to be. I feel that my job as a tutor and as a teacher is to bring out the knowledge within. I understand that every learner is different and for this reason I begin with an assessment of each student. I then try to use their learning habits as a start for future lessons. A Little Bit About Me...

I use all the main teaching tools. Both hands on and visually for those students who need different tools. I love to interact with children and adults helping them through their classes to better their future. I also enjoy having a hand in their future success. I truely believe that a great teacher is one who teaches for the greater growth of their pupils and personally I strive to help them succeed.
As an Honor roll student, a student on the Dean's list I was lucky to have graduated early. I taught six graders through opelia. I have also tutored a master's Student through her Statistics. Currently tutoring a student via online on her Senior Algebra for her Liberal Arts degree. I will hold a BA degree come december of 2010.
