Hello, I am a high school and college level tutor with four years of experience. I have a degree from the University of Missouri in Chemistry and a double minor in education and math. While at the University of Missouri I worked in the Learning Center for the college tutoring four Chemistry courses and two math courses for three years. I am not young enough to know everything

I agree with the concept that each person learns a bit differently, and even more so that as a tutor, I should try and find the most effective style for my tutee. My academic career also taught me the importance of setting time limits for each action item; and switching tasks to keep the mind sharp.

Math and Science Tutoring

In terms of online tutoring. I make use of a headset microphone and a touch tablet. As well as many free online applications, such as a whiteboard, Skype, and educational resources. During session I prefer to use the course work and text assigned to the student. Doing so allows for the structure of our sessions to easily mesh with those of the course.
