I have had 4 years of experience tutoring students 16 and under in mainly math, business, and general studies. I am currently a Financial Specialist looking to pick up an after school tutoring position to help strengthen a student's understanding in their studies. I'm a senior at Wausau East High, I'm graduating in May 2013 and going to the University of Wisconsin Stout. I volunteered for the Special Olympics and for the D.A.R.E program from Elementary students back in 2003 and 2008. With the Special Olympics, I helped cook and serve food to the contestants in the olympics and I also was there to be a friendly and supportive coach-assistant to the athletes. With the D.A.R.E program, I went to Elementary schools in the town of Faribault MN, and I worked along side with the police department to show and educate kids the dangers of meeting strangers and how to handle that type of situation. For the past four summers I have worked in a childcare setting. Last summer I did an internship at a Headstart and the previous three summers I worked at a daycare. At both places I worked with children of all ages. In May of 2010 I graduated from UW Green Bay with a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I plan on getting certified in Child Life. My favorite jobs that I have had dealt with working with children. I love working with children and making a difference in their lives. I love working with people, and anyway that I can help them learn better makes me feel better. I have children of my own and help them out with school work. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions.
