I know shotcuts in math that really help students to safe time and understand the material. I created my own theory of explaning things that is not writtern in any math book. It is easy to understand for students. The most important thing is to explain math through pictures not formulas. The formulas will be understand automatically after the student understands the picture and concept. I am very patient and ready to explain as long as it takes. Keep it simple!

My very down to earth way of explaining mathematics makes everything clear and concise. I have tutored students who went from hating mathematics courses to performing very well in exams. My grasp of Probability, Linear Algebra and Calculus is very strong since I have been TAing these courses regularly. I have an iPad and an Apple pen! My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I can instruct one on derivatives, anti derivatives, and integrals(no they are not the same as derivatives).

I am a big believer in explaining concepts repeatedly until a student understands so I have a lot of patience. You need to with math. I remember how it was learning all those concepts for the first time. I try to use steps as much as possible so my students always feel like they have a way to get to their destination from any point in a problem. Beyond that there's not to much to say. I'm a firm believer that a person does not truly understand a concept until they have practiced doing problems over and over.
