I have tutored through Lassen Community College helping students who were struggling with the concepts of math at lower and higher level classes. As a college student, I enjoyed helping others and began working in the tutoring center at Merced College. After I transferred to CSU Stanislaus, I worked both at the tutoring center and for a state program that placed me in one of the local high schools to work with groups of seniors with low math scores in order to help improve their SAT scores. After graduation, I was hired as a substitute teacher. However, the classroom setting was not as enjoyable as tutoring. Shortly afterwards, I moved to NYC and while there took several classes in business.
