I'm known for my patience working with students with foreign-language backgrounds and other disabilities such as a lack of attention and focus. I learned from my professors at Swarthmore College (and a few at Penn) how to project a non-B.S. style, since kids tend to intuitively realize when their teacher has no idea what he/she is talking about. I recently graduated from Lewis University with an Elementary Education major and endorsements in language arts, math, and social studies. All four years of college, I was on the Deans list. I realy understand both my general education courses along with my teaching methods courses. I have had numerous teaching experiences in the classroom along with my 16 week student teaching experience in 2nd grade. My experience has allowed me to become an effective teacher in all the content areas.
