A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy working with young teens. I have worked in high schools for 25 years in Virginia and West Virginia. I have always had good rapport with teens and have enjoyed interacting with them. I have been trained in the Constructivist approach to teaching, but have had to change my style of teaching in order to cover materials necessary for SOL testing in recent years. I know that students retain more knowledge when they are involved in discovering new information and would love to have the latitude to teach in that manner again. I feel like I have made a difference in many young people's lives throughout my career.
