I enjoy tutoring students and seeing them succeed. When they do well, it makes me feel like I have succeeded too. I believe teaching is very rewarding and it is important to take time and be cooperative with students in order to help them.
I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Science. My major was public health and I minored in biology and psychology. Throughout my college career, I have participated in many community service clubs and worked at a tutoring center where I helped college students with their weekly writing assignments. It was my responsibility to help them with their grammar, writing topics, and reading comprehension. I was able to help them grow into stronger and more creative writers.

Through my experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters and MAXIM Healthcare Services, I have tutored many children with different educational backgrounds that required different concentrated attention. I gauge how I tutor a child by their personal needs. I take the time needed to understand the child’s personality and listen to which is their preferred style of learning. I choose to gain their trust and build their confidence immediately.
