Reggio Emilia inspired way of learning where the children learn while they play and create. Lots of imagination and fun.
I graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 1988 and have taught elementary age for many years. I homeschooled my seven children part of that time and now they are responsible, successful people. Now I'm a retired elementary school teacher and have a half day preschool in the bottom of my home. It has it's own entrance and play yard. Love my kids! In our school, I teach sign language Zoophonics, curiosity using the inspired Reggio Emilia style, a unique method from Italy. We have lots of fun.

For years I have helped the children of family and friends with reading homework. I believe that every child learns in their own way. I have studied behavior for many years and I find it rewarding that once you take the time and learn of a child's way of learning, I bring in empathy to understand how to help them to their needs. As a recent college graduate I have extensive knowledge in the physical and biological sciences, including chemistry, geology, soil science, physics, botany. I have strong writing and reading skills, as well as personal interest in history and social science. This past summer I was an intern with the City of San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department in which I was responsible for planning and running environmental education summer camps for kids ages six to twelve. More teaching experience includes working in an after school homework club for elementary students of all grades, as well as a classroom aid in a second grade class and a kindergarden class. I also temporarily coached soccer to local youth.
