As a recent college graduate I have extensive knowledge in the physical and biological sciences, including chemistry, geology, soil science, physics, botany. Because of this you have to strive to find the way your student learns and utilize creative ways to make sure the student understands what you are teaching to them. In my experience I have used pictures, words, books, varying explanations, and multiple examples to teach.

My last class was a self-contained 6th grade, with a 34% ELL and 14% special education population. My class average reading level rose from 4.6 to 7.1. Of all the students in the school who surpassed the required State testing and higher District goals in both reading and math, 75% came from my class, as did the winners of the school's essay contest, spelling bee and geography competition.
