A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught private lessons for a year, while also teaching ballet, modern, and jazz in studios. I also led dance class at a charter school for a year twice a week. During my private lessons I got to work one on one with individuals and truly see dramatic improvement. I strive to see my students grow and cultivate their own creativity in movement.
I made sure the basics are solid first. I feel that anatomy and clear understanding of the body and how it works is pivotal to success in dance. I am all about the details.

I believe that all students have the ability to learn as long as the environment is positive and conducive to learning. My teaching style involves patience and finding out what exactly the student is not grasping, and figuring out how each individual learns. Each person responds to different styles of teaching and learning, and finding the correct form for the student is crucial to the success of the student. It is so satisfying seeing a child’s confidence rise when they realize they have grasped a concept that they have struggled with for so long.
