A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored a fellow student in Finite Mathematics during college for one semester. I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, working hard to finish my degree in three years. I recently took online classes in order to achieve my Masters of Science in Education. I have worked as a general paraprofessional in elementary schools for two years and a one-on-one paraprofessional for the last year. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with, and teaching, kids, especially in Math. I teach with creative tactics, when necessary, to drive home a concept. I am patient with kids (hey, I have 3 of my own!), and find it rewarding when I can make a difference.
During my Junior and Senior year of college, I tutored at a Children's Home in Lubbock, TX, 3 nights a week. I have always picked things up quickly, more quickly than my peers. My peers have often come to me to ask for my help in those areas. I also see how to apply what I have learned to original problems because I see connections and hold a deeper understanding of the material. My double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry with a mino in Mathematics was full of its fair share of difficult material, and I was almost always able to help my peers, as well as younger students, through their problems.
