A Little Bit About Me...

Over the years, I have been known as a good tutor because of my will and determination to make sure the ones whom I am tutoring are understanding the material rather than just remembering.For this, I have been known to be a strict tutor, but the significance of this matter is that I always have had students getting at least a grade level higher than what it was. For example, in the 8th grade right before a test to a classmate asked me to review the material that would be on the test, because she had not studied at all.I had ony 10 minutes to tutor this person but as a result, my classmate got a 85 out of 100. In this situation and every, I find out what can I use(weather it is something silly or funny)that help them remember, than I further it into giving them a better understanding of the material.

My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. I'm also good in science.

I began my teaching career by completing a two year course of study in Early Childhood and then worked as both a teacher and as a Director at a Parent Cooperative Day School until my own children were in Middle School. In addition to tutoring during high school, I have worked at an independent local tutoring company and at the local Huntington Learning Center since I've graduated college.
