I am a former special education teacher who specialized with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations, but in the regular education environment, I worked with kids of all disabilities all the way to highly gifted kids. My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time

I like to get on the child's level and teach that way. I like to ask the children what their best way is to learn and what are some of their favorite things are so I can incorporate them into the lesson.
