My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. Very relaxed, easy going, friendly. I feel less pressure and non stressful settings help students learn better. They can relate to a younger person who is more in tune with youth and someone who understands them.
I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. My comments on tutoring Spelling : all levels

My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time

I have a calm teaching style and approach. My goal is to help clear confusion for students by teaching them several easy steps to keep in mind while writing.
I have helped many of my friends and other students become better writers throughout and beyond my college career.
