Hello! My name is Evan Levine and I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in music performance at the University of Michigan. Originally from New Jersey, I have been teaching students between the ages of 6-18 for over 8 years in both private and group settings. I find in counseling I have to lead people to come up with their own solutions without telling them the answer. This involves showing them how to get there and teaching them the skills. If any of my friends or coworkers would describe me it would be as a patient person. I think it takes a lot of patience to tutor especially if the student is having trouble grasping a concept. You have to be creative in how you explain it to them. Everyone has a different learning style whether it is audio or visual.
