I am a student enrolled in Wayne State University in the undergraduate program for English. I have studied English for over five years which includes reading comprehension, language, creative writing, and academic prep. Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. English and Writing CAN be Fun!

The collaborative learning approach, where students are encouraged to discuss what and how they're learning, is most effective. Students tend to engage much better with course material when the instructor has discussions with them, as opposed to lecturing at them.

My comments on tutoring Literature : I am a certified teacher of French and English, I have 18 years of experience at the middle and high school levels.

My teaching style...? I do not have only one; part of the point of tutoring is the ability to truly tailor styles/strategies to individuals or small groups. I must say that I am the funniest person I know, and I crack myself up all the time. Humor is always one of my favorite/best strategies.
