I was not the sharpest tool on the shed. However, what I have noticed is that there is always a mechanic that can sharpen the tool. And my teachers through out my school years have made me a better student. A good teacher will either inspire you and make students great or de-motivate students and be unsuccessful in their field. Patience. I would have to say, I would have to learn the needs of the student, what they already know and don't know, and use what they know to help them understand what they don't know. I would be fairly straightforward I guess. Helping someone understand a certain math concept would make me feel like a better person too, because when I finally grasped something like that, I remember how good a feeling it was to do so. I am of the opinion that children should be given clues and lead on to discover answers to questions. In some areas I like them to memorize certain facts which will help them solve problems better.
