I have recently retired after 30+ years as an elementary special and regular education teacher. For the past 15 years I have also worked as a tutor for the city of White Plains. I have done extensive private tutoring for the past 20 years. For 17 years I worked as an elementary special education classroom teacher at New York Hospital in an out-patient day treatment program. This program involved elementary school age children who displayed severe emotional and academic difficulties and were unable to function in a regular school setting.

I view teaching as successful transference of knowledge. I have a profound respect for teachers that teach for the love of it. After I completed my Bachelors degree, I taught for 2 weeks at a High School in Barbados that catered to students with special education needs.
