My comments on tutoring Computer : I've been into all things web and technology since the early 2000's. I am Proficient with Windows (all versions) + Mac OS, as well as most Windows + Mac programs. Currently I run Windows 10 Home on my ultrabook (I started with windows 95.) - My typing speed is 35-40 WPM. I can teach you basic typing skills. - As a web developer, I use FTP programs to upload files to a server. I am very good at math, so in college I got into the tutoring program for inner city elementary students and the student I tutored showed remarkable improvement in her math grades as a result. Many years later I was accepted into the Alternate Route to Certification II program and received my Math 7-12 teaching certificate in May 2003.
Working with middle school students is an adventure. The students all have different ways of learning, so blackboard work is a great way for them to visualize, and I also use 3 dimensional models when they are appropriate. My experience showed me that the students that wanted to learn would stay after school to get more individualized attention, which I was always available to give them. That moment when they understood the math concept I was teaching was the best part.
