In high school I took Calculus, honors Geology, honors Chemistry, and honors English. I have three siblings that I help out with homework, as well as have tutored my fellow classmates in high school, so I can adapt to any learning style. I am currently going to Central Washington University. I am pursuing a degree in Communication studies with a double minor in Sociology and Spanish. I am not completely fluent in Spanish, but I am very proficient in reading, writing, and speaking.

As an undergraduate student at Central Washington University, I was self motivated and involved in various activities. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Sociology and BA in Law and Justice. In addition to these two broad areas of studies, I am a McNair Scholars recipient and conducted graduate level research. I have mentored and advised students as an employee in student affairs and as a Teacher's Assistant in the Law and Justice Department. I returned to college in my mid-40s to complete a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Biology, minoring in Chemistry and Pre-professional Studies. This enabled me to attain competent understanding of not only the hard science classes, but also to experience writing and presentation skills at the professional level. As a current Biology master's student, I continue to hone those skills as well as pass them on to others. As a double major in Economics and Sociology I gained extensive experience with both mathematics as well as writing and oral presentations. In my final semester I enrolled in two graduate level classes and despite the difficulty of my class schedule worked even harder to achieve a 4.0 GPA for that semester. The combination of Economics and Sociology has provided a unique opportunity for me to develop my ability to understand complicated mathematical theories and equations and explain them in both written and oral forms. Although, I have not formally tutored, I participated in numerous study groups and have informally tutored friends. In addition I was a CPR teacher for two years.
