I like teaching mathematics and have always strived to meet the learning needs and styles of each student I teach. I am a patient person and have seen much success in the learning of mathematics of my students. Students must be given examples of work and then let discover methods for solving problems. Students can go beyond their potential when they are given positive reinforcement and praise. I have tried to make a difference in the lives of my students and will continue to do so in the future.

I enjoy teaching all age groups. I especially like working with High School students.Initially, they can be quite a challenge to work with, but once they are engaged they are fully immersed in the topic! I like to be creative and interactive! I was a difficult High School student so I can relate to many that get bored with some topics. I really like to use transactional teaching methods. I introduce a subject and have discussions about the material rather than strictly lecturing.I like to learn what the student can teach me after assigned a reading. Have them go in the front of the room and explain a portion of the reading. It also helps them develop confidence in their public speaking.

I enjoy teaching children and adults of all ages, although most of my experience has come from teaching college age kids.
