I enjoy teaching people subjects that I understand. My preferred subjects to teach would be anything math, finance and accounting related. I graduated from high school in 2003 with honors and graduated in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Throughout my schooling I have attended multiple classes in reading/writing, science, history, computer/I.T., foreign language, creative arts, business and math. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and uplifting. I like to encourage students to try things that they feel that they are incapable of. I like to provide lots of examples and demonstrations with my teaching in order to insure that students fully understand what is being addressed. I set high expectations and try to nurture a love for learning and for exploration in art.
I hold a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in arts management. With these degrees, I have taught in the public schools and have held positions in the education departments of several major museums. I have taught a wide variety of course and all age levels. I am certified to teach both visual arts and computers, business, and marketing. I am an art teacher in the Chicago Public Schools currently. A Little Bit About Me...

The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged. I am also a strong believer in "real world" lessons and activities that my students can relate to. This encourages my students' critical thinking abilities as well as a desire to learn. I am confident in my style and very happy to report that my students' scores have risen every year I have been at my current school.
