My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : Vocabulary and sentence structure are the foundations for ASL. The way in which you apply your skills will represent your skill set.

Start with the basics. Assess what level the student is at and then work that into a more challenging structure to pertain to what the student would like to accomplish.
I have been immersed the field of interpreting since 2008. Having graduated out of Bloomsburg University in 2012, over the last two years I have been professionally interpreting in three states and in various fields. I would have to say that my teaching style is flexibility. I believe that it is necessary to gauge your students as a group and individually before deciding on which teaching methods would be most effective. I believe that naturalistic teaching is important. I also believe in a form of discrete trial training. It takes some of the basics from Discrete Trial and adapts them to fit the needs of the students that are struggling with certain subjects.
