Every job I've ever had has been one where I teach. I had a job 3 years teaching ballroom dance, 2 years I coached T-ball, and for 4 years I've tutored math. I am a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. I obtained a BS in Chemistry and a minor in Math. I have always had a good understand of the sciences and mathematics. I have learned good written skills due to many research papers and laboratory reports. Throughout college I was a laboratory assistant for a physical chemistry lab and helped prepare the chemicals for the organic chemistry labs.

A Little Bit About Me...

I belief that conceptual understanding is the foundation of learning. Teaching kids to solve a specific problem that they can't do doesn't accomplish much, in my opinion. Going back to the concept and helping them really understand what is going on, either physically or mathematically, will not only help them with the problem they have, but give them a basis for future knowledge.
I have tutored math, chemistry and physics both officially and unofficially throughout most of my undergraduate education. My BS in physics, as well as my work in an atmospheric physics lab, has given me a strong mathematical and physical science background. I have tutored, and taught some classes in summers and winter breaks both while at UMBC, and at Towson, where I currently attend graduate school for education.
