I believe patients is the key to all with learning. Especially to children who have a hard time at school or may come from a family that education is not emphasized. Children no matter what age can feel fustration and anxiety from others remaining calm, positive and assuring is the best way to get a child relaxed enough to be able stopo worrying about all other things going on in the lifes and focus on the subject at hand. Letting them know you 'know' they can do it and will stick it out with them until they do.
