Teaching comes second nature to me. I believe that all students can learn, but each person requires a different style of instruction in order to fully understand the subject. I provide multiple kinds of instruction while keeping a patient and easy going mentality. Math can be fun, especially when applied to exciting applications. For my work at NASA and the MITRE Corporation I use concepts from Calculus I-II almost everyday. Inspiring students to become excited about math and science is one of my life-long goals. Step by step visual diagrams can be effective tools for describing complex ideas. From my experience as a teacher and student I have had great success creating simple graphics to accompany otherwise dense math equations for circuits, data structures and statistics. This teaching style coupled with a fresh knowledge of math material as a graduating senior make me confident that I can be an asset to your team this summer.
