Working with people, particularly children, has always been a passion of mine. Through the psychology program at Husson College I was able to gain a better understanding of human interaction, interpersonal relationships, as well as to obtain further insight on the foundation of the cognitive wiring in which we all possess. I also have a 6 year old daughter, who I have found to be the key to my drive in watching all children achieve academic success. I think the process starts with parents but branches out into the world of educators, and truly is a battle that can be won as long as there is always a core group of people committed to each child's success in the classroom. I taught with the Bangor adult education program in the early 1980's as a graduate student in educational psychology. I taught adults a variety of subjects math, English and GED preparation at that time. I also taught English as a Second language with them. I also hold a masters in education at the University of Maine at Orono that I have not listed in the formal education section. I reserved that section for relevant finance and accounting information. But having said that, I have a broad psychology and education background (I was a clinical counselor for 12 years)that goes along with my knowledge of finance and accounting theory.
