I really enjoy teaching, I have kids that love completely different kinds of music and is fun to discover what they really like, what I do is really simple I just motivate my students teaching them what they really want to learn, I have to learn songs that they really like and show them how to play them in an easy way using music theory and harmony so they understand a lot more. Everyone has the ability to learn but not everyone has the same ability. Most people are visual or tactile learners whereas most teachers, in my experience, use verbal/aural instruction methods. I believe in tailoring my teaching to the needs of the student and not to what I am most relaxed with. I have personally taught several tactile students who had to have something in their hands or they could not grasp the concepts.
