My teaching style is adapted to your needs, the topic, and how you learn, so that you can integrate what you are learning at least long enough to pass the class I have a unique educational background in wanting to be educated but obtaining a degree along the way. My classroom experience is board covering many disciplines and how they connect and overlap. Hence the desire to be educated, to be able to think, reason, wonder, explore ongoingly through out my life drives me still after all these years. I believe that teaching styles need to be flexible to the student. I have worked with a very wide variety of students, from the severely limited autistic youth to the highly gifted medical student. While approach and focus might vary for the individual or subject matter the essence remains the same. I try to envision at least 3 different ways of approaching a problem, I discuss material but let the students ask questions which I then tailor my explanations toward. I have a BS in Psychology, and I have experience tutoring college students through an honors position as a Writing Fellow through Jackson Community College.
