While at Nichols College, I took a part time job at the local Boys & Girls club in Dudley Massachusetts. Here, I worked with children from a variety of backgrounds on their homework and various other projects especially mathematics in which I specialize in. Many of these children were living in more challenging home environments, sometimes lacking a father and or living in a troubled neighborhood. My textbook strengths would anything math, finance, accounting, and business related. More importantly, my best asset regarding tutoring would be my ability to adapt my teaching to the child's needs and learning style. Currently I have been working in Elementary School in the Fall River School Department. I have been placed in grades Pre-Kindergarten to Fifth grade. I also am pursuing my masters in High School Mathematics. Also in High School I was part of the peer tutoring club where I excelled at teaching others.
My teaching style changes based on how the student has been taught previously and I will try different methods to see what will work best for the individual.
