My name is Maria Sedrak. I am a Material Sciences Engineer. I spent my college years teaching Piano to kids starting from 4 years old to married couples. I also were a Junior TA in the Physics Department back in my University for two consecutive semesters. I also freelanced at giving Mathematics classes to middle school students. I also performed in front of a large crowd multiple times making me able to interact greatly with people.
I like to simplify whatever problem the student is facing in order for him/her to be able to independently solve it. I was recommended by the former Department Chair-Person to tutor a student with special needs. I have also taught lessons primarily for trumpet, but also for tuba, trombone, euphonium, baritone, and French horn.
My teaching style could be described as fun, supportive, caring, and disciplined. By disciplined I don't mean tough, hard, or mean. Students are assigned work that they are expected to complete, although it won't be too time consuming.
