My comments on tutoring Spelling : English can be a tricky language. That is why it is very important to pay attention to details. When it comes to spelling, you will be learning the rules to spelling, silent letters, grammar in spelling and using your voice to help you spell more easily and accurately.

My teaching experience started as a volunteer tutor for ESL learners. For two years I volunteered at the Benjamin Franklin Library, located in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. It was a big step, but I was ready for the challenge! As a tutor I was responsible for developing my own teaching style and schedule with students. I used teaching materials provided by the library and I also encouraged students to pick their favorite books to let my students know that they can be decision makers. After years as a tutor, I worked as a contractor throughout Los Angeles County. I try to model my own love of learning to my mentee.

I’ve been exploring possible future careers for myself. Recently as I was tutoring one of my classmates with an English assignment, she mentioned to me that I am very easy-going when it comes to helping her learn and understand the assignments.
