I teach with the multiple intelligence approach. Every child has a special way that they learn whether it be spatial, linguistic, mathematical, kinesthetic, musical, intra/interpersonal, or a naturalist, the way they learn is the key to success. Unlocking each students giftedness makes learning fun and exciting. For instance, a kinesthetic learner would learn their spelling words best by jumping rope while spelling the words. Or a spatial person would learn them best by painting the words on chart paper or drawing them in different colors with chalk on the pavement. My comments on tutoring Literature : I have a college level education (third year undergrad) in all English areas, however I feel that it would be most efficient to use my knowledge to tutor elementary and high school level English.

I have tutored many young students throughout my life, and have been tutored myself. I do find it easier to work with younger children; however, I am capable of assisting those of high school or college age students who are struggling. I have helped young children learn how to read, write, count, and tell time on an analog clock. Though I do not have strictly professional tutoring experience (I have never been paid for my services) I know how to identify student's learning style(s) and work with them a way that they will benefit from.
