I have been fortunate to teach biology to undergraduates for nearly forty years. I am passionate about making sure my students not only excel in the courses they take, but are prepared for a world in which the biosciences (especially the molecular biology of the genome & DNA!)will form the basis of medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, and major technological breakthroughs in environmental science. I hold a Ph.D. in biomedical science - focused on molecular virology. I believe that stimulating conversation and allowing people to arrive at answers on their own and through experience is the best way to form lasting connections.
