As a graduate student working towards earning my Master's in Education, I presently observe and do field research studies with students at the elementary age. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree which has enabled me to gain in depth experience and comprehension in mathematics. I have worked with school children for several years as a Site Director for Champions which provided me an opportunity to help children in many facets of learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor degree in Physical Science(math major) and will be awarded a masters degree in Applied Math in June 2010. I have vast experience in both teaching and tutoring of math courses to student with varied economic standing as well as age groups.
I am a fun of verbalization of math concepts. I encourage my students to demonstrate their level of understanding of the material I teach to narratives, summarizing and sharing of knowledge with other students. This boosts the confidence of the student and minimizes learning by rote. I draw on my successes and failures in studying math to mentor my students and ensure that they meet their goals.

I really starting to help tutor people in high school. I found out that I enjoy helping people with there challenges and watching them succeed. I believe that when teaching or tutoring someone that you find a method that works for that person. That having a teaching template helps as a guide, but if you are not willing to change your method for the student they are never going to be able to retain the information for long term use.
